Kamakura 3generations tour
As a guide, I always find it heartwarming to meet families traveling together across three generations. I often go out with my own mother and daughter, so I truly understand how special and enjoyable that kind of time can be.
This time, I had the pleasure of guiding a family of five in Kamakura: a grandmother in her 90s—who had made the incredible journey all the way from the United States!—along with her son, his wife, and their two sons.
It was a lovely time to visit Kamakura, with the cherry blossoms still lingering. Although we were caught in the rain from time to time, they were able to enjoy the beautiful, fully bloomed Dankazura pathway and pick up some of Kamakura’s famous sweets. They also found some charming exclusive items from Toshimaya, and, incredibly, managed to get their hands on the very last few boxes of Kurumikko—such a lucky moment!
The whole family took such wonderful care of the grandmother—it was truly inspiring to see. The tour itself was wonderful, of course, but I’m truly grateful for this wonderful encounter.
