Kamakura & Hayama 1 day Private Tour

Recently guided a lovely three-generation family from Tokyo — grandparents, parents, and their daughter — on a relaxed private tour of Kamakura and Hayama.

After meeting at Kamakura Station, we started at Tsurugaoka Hachimangu, learning shrine etiquette and a bit of samurai history. The family collected goshuin stamps and lucky charms before strolling down Komachi Street for shopping and a tasty shirasu pork bun snack.

Next, we rode the Enoshima Electric Railway to Hase for a fun pottery experience — everyone created their own teacup or bowl!

We visited the adorable Jizo statues at Hasedera and stood in awe before the Great Buddha at Kotoku-in — even stepped inside the statue!

As the sun set, we headed to Hayama for a pre-dinner drink at La Maree de Chaya, followed by a beautiful kaiseki dinner at Hikage Chaya.

A flexible schedule, lots of laughter, and memories made across three generations — that’s the magic of a private tour.
